       Polyferric- -chloride is an efficient inorganic coagulant and multifunctional chemical, appearing as black brown crystals/powder (anhydrous) black crystals (hexahydrate), easily soluble in water to form strong acidic solutions (pH 1-2)Ferric-Chloride (FeCl3) is a highly efficient inorganic coagulant and multifunctional chemical compound, available in anhydrous (FeCl3) or hexahydrate (FeCl3) forms. The anhydrous variant appears as dark brown crystals or powder, while the hexahydrate form is characterized by orange-yellow crystals. It is highly soluble in water, forming a strongly acidic solution (pH 1-2). In water treatment, ferric-chloride functions through the charge neutralization of Fe³+ ions and the adsorption-bridging effect of hydrolyzed iron hydroxide colloids, effectively removing suspended solids, colloids, phosphorus, and heavy metals (e.g., ars enic) while oxidizing reducible contaminants like sulfides.
